Laurel Highlands Wedding | Pittsburgh Wedding Photographer | Brett & Stephanie

Pulling up the gravel road, to the Timber Ridge property in Confluence, Pennsylvania, I see Brett and his groomsmen carrying large communial tables to the barn. White tank tops, suspenders, and beers in hand. It's just after 8 am. A couple of the groomsmen's wives are setting up the guest take home gifts, little 125ml bottles of Pennsylvania sweet wine. This is how you DIY a Western Pennsylvania wedding, all hands on deck.

But Brett and Stephanie's celebration was the perfect DIY mix. Yes, they set up the tables, party favors, decorations, details, and center pieces. But they hired professional caterers, DJ, luxury mobile restrooms, officiant, and me. And I'm not going to lie, those mobile restrooms were the most important vendor by far.

Ceremony started at 11am just as the sun made it's massive debut through dense fog. Stephanie was all smiles and laughs in her country, vintaged styled, ankle length, wedding dress. Being September in Western PA, the guys forgone sports co ats as well as couple of the bridesmaids who wore traditional mens suits. Unlike the popular hipster barn weddings of the past decade, Brett and Stephanie's soiree was truly an authentic vintage country aesthetic.

Brett and Stephanie's sweet ceremony followed by their couple photo session was the party's only intermission. The whole day was a celebration. Sometimes I go to weddings and am overwhelmed by the amount of wonderful close friends and family a couple will bring together. I actually will feel a tad lonely. But then there are those wonderful couples like Brett & Stephanie who actually make you feel like I was a guest myself.
